Hi everyone,
things have been a bit quiet here on the blog this month as we’ve been heads down working on a few projects (not least our soon to be released geosearch product). So I thought I would take a second to pen a post and wish everyone a very merry Christmas and all good wishes for 2022.
While life has not yet quite returned to normal post-Covid, we have much to be thankful for, not least the support of our customers around the world. Thank you!
A few 2021 highlights:
-
We were able to continue our tradition of giving back to the open source and open data geo communities.
-
We started alpha testing geosearch - Many thanks to all of you who sent us feedback!
-
We reconfirmed our commitment to respecting your privacy by opting out of Google’s FLoC.
-
The Geomob podcast hit 100 episodes, and we managed to have in-person events in London and Barcelona!
-
We ran a monthly twitter geotrivia contest on the final Friday of each month
-
Speaking of twitter, we did lots of geothreads
-
Major new versions of various SDKs (python, R)for our geocoding API were released
It’s been a long year, and we’ve all earned a break. Thank you everyone. That said, this is by no means the final post of 2021 - we have one more round of #fridaygeotrivia coming up on Friday the 31st! See you there.
Happy holidays everyone,
