Hi everyone,

we’re now squarely in the summer holiday season, and so your thoughts are perhaps more focused on suntan lotion and finding the best spot on the beach. But the business of geocoding never pauses, and we wanted to make you aware of another event for your calendar for September. I am very pleased to help spread the news that GeoIT (more formally known as The Society for Geoinformatics, GeoIT and Navigation e.V) events have restarted, and the next symposium will take place on Monday, the 29th of September in Berlin at the SRH University of Applied Science (full details and sign-up). The event is free and open to all, including non-members.

The exact speaker line-up has not yet been published, but I am delighted to share that I will be speaking on the topic of The Joy of Geocoding! I hope you can join us, it will no doubt be an interesting event. Many thanks to the organizers.

And yes, this event is taking place only a few days after Geomob Berlin on Septmber 25th which you should also attend, and which we are proud to organize and sponsor. And on Tuesday, Sept 30th there is a BetterMile Last Mile Delivery Meetup.

It is clear the Berlin geospatial scene is thriving, and we’re delighted to play our part.

See you in Berlin in September!
