Hi everyone,

this weekend Eurppe’s new Strong Customer Authentication (often referred to as “SCA), came into effect. As a result Europenan banks may begin asking customers for multi-factor authentication when making purchases.

We have updated our payment processes, and at checkout European customers may be asked by their bank for additional verification before completing their purchase. Existing customers may receive an email from their bank as their subscription renews. Unfortunately it’s not really possible to be more specific as the exact process will depend on the size of the transaction, the customer’s bank, and exactly how the new regulations are interpreted.

As before our credit card billing is done via payment processor Stripe and we never have access to customer credit card numbers.

Making changes to our billing process is never fun, but we support all efforts to make onlione purchasing reliable and risk-free.

If you have any concerns or questions about this or any other aspect of our billing please get in touch.

Happy geocoding,

Ed
