Today we have a small announcement that will be good news for those of you using Ruby to call our geocoding API.

We’ve published a new example script for batch geocoding in Ruby. The script makes use of the popular async gem, and is of course linked from our Ruby geocoding tutorial.

All feedback (and code improvements) is of course very welcome.

For those that are new to our service, we have SDKs and tutorials for almost every programming language. Some, like Ruby, written and maintained by us, other by the community (thanks!). Please have a look on our SDKs page:

"OpenCage geocoding API SDKs"

I close with our standard final point whenever we discuss our SDKs: we are always happy to pay anyone who writes an SDK or integration for a language or framework we don’t yet have. Please have a look at our guide to SDK writing and get in touch if you are interested.

Happy geocoding, whether in Ruby or any other language,

Ed
