Good news Adndroid devs! Our friend Sergei Gimpel has open sourced a Kotlin client for our geocoding API

You can find his ktopencage library on Github, here’s a screenshot of some of the code:

Segei is the maker of the very popular My Location app for recording and sharing location (over 34,000 reviews!) which uses the library at high volume. Many thanks Sergei, we hope the code is helpful for other Android/Kotlin developers looking to incorporate geocoding into their applications.

We’ve added a direct link to the package (and the libraries for the many other programming languages) on our libraries page.

If you create something with our API please let us know and we will gladly feature it (though do please follow the guidelines). If you use a language for which we don’t yet have a wrapper library, please get in touch, we will gladly pay you to open source a wrapper library. We’re interested in wrapper libraries for pretty much any language we don’t yet have.

Happy geocoding,

Ed
