As longtime reader of the blog will know, one of the ways we try to give back to the geo community is by organizing and sponsoring Geomob, a regular meetup for anyone doing anything interesting around location. Geomob started in London over ten years ago, but is now active in four European cities (with more hopefully to come).

Last week I was invited on to the MapScaping podcast to talk a bit about Geomob what it is, why we do it, what are the trends we’ve set up. It was a fun interview, many thanks to Daniel for having me back (I was on MapScaping several months ago talking about OpenCage and geocoding). If you work in the geospatial industry - or just enjoy geospatial topics - you should definitely subscribe to MapScaping. Daniel gets a great mix of interesting people from across the industry on the podcast, it’s always a good listen.

I hope you enjoy the interview, and to see you at a future Geomob event. Our next events are:

December 3rd in Munich, Germany

January 8th in London, UK

January 15th in Barcelona, Spain

Yours in geoinnovation,

Ed
