Hi everyone,
Since we’re all friends here on the OpenCage blog, I’m going to be honest with you about something: I can’t really keep all the different javascript frameworks straight, nor do I know why you might prefer one to another. But, I can appreciate there are people out there who have strong feels about this kind of thing. I love them all (as long as they use emacs as their editor, anything else and they are insane, obvs).
Thus I am delighted to announce that our good friend Arnaud Ferrand has been at it again. Not content with an SDK for geocoding with Cloudflare workers, his guide to using the OpenCage API with OpenLayers, or his guide to geocoding with AWS Lambda, Arnaud has now dashed off an example of using our API with TypeScript in a React Native application!
Thank you, Arnaud!
As you would expect, the code is all open and over on Arnaud’s Github page. So if TypeScript is your thing please give it a try.
As with all the other SDKs, this new library can be found on our libraries page. Arnaud’s TypeScript example comes just over a month since we added our PostgreSQL Foreign Data Wrapper. We are always happy to welcome more contributions. If you create something with our API please let us know and we will gladly feature it (though do please follow the guidelines). If you use a language for which we don’t yet have a wrapper library, please get in touch, we will happily pay you to open source a wrapper library. We’re interested in SDKs for any language or framework we don’t yet have.
Happy geocoding (whichever flavor of js you prefer),
