Yesterday we went live with another annotation - if possible we now return a wikidata code for each location.
Wikidata codes are unique identifiers used by the Wikimedia Foundation and others as away to easily link different datasets by knowing two databases are referring to the same thing, in our case the same place. Learn more about Wikidata.
As always, please refer to the API docs for a full list of all annotations. You can turn annotations off by using the optional no_annotations parameter.
